Terms of Service

Last updated: 20 September 2026

These terms are the contract between you and Betai Labs when you hire one of our AI agents or join the Academy. They are short on purpose. By creating an account or buying a subscription, you accept them.

What you get

An AI agent on a monthly subscription. The tier sets how much work it can do each month.

How you pay

Monthly, tax included, by card. Cancel anytime; it takes effect at the end of the period.

Who is in charge

You. The agent drafts, you approve, and everything published carries your name.

Our promise

Our best effort, honestly. No guaranteed results: reviews, reach and platforms are not ours to control.

01The service

Betai Labs is the trading name of the sole proprietorship (micro-entreprise) of Bernold Le Saux, established in France. We publish AI agents that you hire on a monthly subscription. Each agent is specialised: NAYA writes and publishes your social media content, IDRIS drafts your quotations, ALIZÉE answers your Google customer reviews, and the other agents follow the same model. The Academy, taught by SACHA, is a subscription to our training content.

Agents are offered in tiers: Starter, Plus and Pro. The tier does not change what the agent knows how to do; it sets its capacity, that is how much work it can do for you each month (see section 4). Every subscription includes one company: one establishment, brand or account the agent works for. If you want the agent to look after a second company (another shop, another listing, another page), you add it as an additional company, a paid add-on to your subscription.

You meet the agents on betai-labs.com, you buy your subscription on odoo.betai-labs.com (our shop) and you work with your agent on app.betai-labs.com.

These terms cover the agents and the Academy. Consulting and project work that Betai Labs invoices outside these subscriptions is governed by our General Terms and Conditions of sale and services (CGV, in French).

02Account and eligibility

The service is designed for professionals: companies, sole traders, associations and public bodies acting in the course of their activity. By subscribing, you confirm that you act in a professional capacity and that you are authorised to bind the company you register.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information on your account and for keeping your login details confidential. Anything done from your account is deemed done by you. Tell us without delay at contact@betai-labs.com if you suspect that someone else is using it.

03Subscription and billing

  • Prices. The prices shown in the shop are tax included. The applicable price is the one displayed when you order; we may change prices for future periods with notice by email.
  • Billing. Subscriptions are billed monthly, in advance. Invoices are issued from our Odoo shop and payments are collected by Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel it.
  • Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from your account on the shop or by writing to us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period: the agent keeps working until then, and you are not charged for the next period.
  • No refund of the current month. Because the agent starts working as soon as the period begins, the month already started is not refunded, in whole or in part.
  • Failed payment. If a payment fails, we retry and let you know. If it still fails, the agent is paused until the balance is settled, and the subscription may be terminated.
  • Upgrades and add-ons. Moving to a higher tier or adding a company applies as soon as the payment is confirmed. Moving to a lower tier applies at the next renewal.

04Token envelope and pauses

Each tier comes with a monthly envelope of AI capacity, measured in tokens, which is what the agent consumes when it reads, thinks and writes. The envelope is sized for the normal activity of the tier and it resets at each renewal.

When the envelope is used up before the end of the period, the agent pauses: it stops drafting and publishing and tells you so in the app. Nothing is lost; the work resumes at the next renewal, or immediately if you upgrade to a higher tier. You are never billed for usage beyond your envelope without having chosen to upgrade.

05Your responsibilities

  • You remain the author. Every reply, post or message the agent publishes is published in your name, on your accounts. The agent drafts and you decide: you set the rules, you approve, and you can edit or delete anything at any time. Legally, you are the publisher of what goes out.
  • You approve delicate reviews. When a review is sensitive (a complaint, a dispute, a mention of health, safety, legal matters or a person), the agent asks for your approval before replying, according to the approval thresholds you set in the app. By default only four and five star reviews go out on their own; everything below waits for you. Answering these yourself, or checking the draft carefully, is your responsibility.
  • Lawful use. You use the agents in compliance with the law and with the terms of the platforms they publish on (Google, LinkedIn, X and any other connected service). No defamatory, misleading, discriminatory or unlawful content, no fake reviews, no harassment.
  • Accurate connected accounts. You only connect accounts that you own or that you are authorised to manage, and you keep them connected and in good standing. If a platform suspends an account you connected, that is between you and the platform.
  • Your instructions. The quality of what the agent writes depends on the brief you give it (tone, facts, what to promise and what not to). Keep it accurate and up to date.

06Our responsibilities and limits

We commit to a best-effort obligation: to run the service with care, to keep it available in normal conditions, to secure your data as described in the Privacy Policy, and to answer your support requests within a reasonable time.

We do not guarantee results. An agent can write a good reply; it cannot make a customer change their rating, make a post go viral, or make a platform behave. In particular:

  • The agents depend on third-party APIs (Google Business Profile, LinkedIn, X, Anthropic, Stripe). When one of them changes, slows down, limits access or breaks, the agent may be delayed or paused until the situation is resolved. We are not responsible for these platforms, their decisions or their availability.
  • AI models can make mistakes. Drafts are drafts; that is why approval exists.
  • We may interrupt the service briefly for maintenance or security. We do our best to warn you in advance when we can.

07Intellectual property

The agents, their names, characters and visual identities, the app, the website, the Academy content and the software behind them belong to Betai Labs. Your subscription gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use them for your own activity for as long as it lasts. You may not copy, resell, reverse-engineer or build a competing product from them.

What the agent produces for you is yours. The replies, posts and other texts drafted for you and published on your accounts belong to you once published. The data you bring (your reviews, your brief, your accounts) stays yours; you grant us only the right to process it to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy.

08Data and privacy

How we collect, use, store and delete your data, including the data received from Google, LinkedIn and X, is explained in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: your data is hosted in the European Union, it is used only to run your agent and bill you, it is never sold, and it is deleted when you leave or when you ask.

09Termination

By you. Cancel at any time; the subscription ends at the close of the current period (section 3). You can also ask us to close your account entirely and delete your data.

By us. We may suspend or terminate your access, with notice by email, if you breach these terms (in particular unlawful use or connecting accounts you are not entitled to), if a payment remains unpaid, or if a connected platform requires it. In case of a serious breach, suspension may be immediate. We may also discontinue an agent or the service as a whole with at least one month's notice; in that case, any period already paid and not delivered is refunded.

After termination, your workspace data is deleted within the timeframe stated in the Privacy Policy.

10Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Betai Labs' total liability for any claim arising from the service, whatever its basis, is limited to the amount of the fees you paid us during the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

We are not liable for indirect losses such as loss of revenue, loss of customers, damage to reputation or loss of data caused by a third-party platform, nor for the consequences of content you approved or of instructions you gave. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under French law.

11Governing law and courts

These terms are governed by French law. Before any legal action, we both agree to try to settle the matter amicably by writing to each other. Failing an agreement, any dispute is brought before the competent courts of Bordeaux, France.

12Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the service or the law changes. The date at the top tells you which version applies. If a change is material, we inform you by email at least fifteen days before it takes effect; continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the new terms. If you do not, you can cancel before they apply.
